How big is it?
The charm is 0.8 by 0.5 inches, a little smaller than a quarter.
It's small deliberately. Large enough to recognize across a room, light enough that you'll forget you have it on. If you're picturing something statement-sized, this isn't that.
Can I wear it every day?
Yes, that's what it's for.
Take it off for showers, swimming and the gym. Steel won't tarnish the way silver does, but repeated moisture dulls the polish and works at the stone setting over time.
Off before the shower, on before you leave.
Will it turn my skin green?
It's polished stainless steel, which doesn't corrode or discolour the way plated brass does.
The 18K gold option is a gold finish over that same steel core.
Most stainless steel contains some nickel, including ours. If you have a known sensitivity, we'd rather tell you now than have you find out.
How many charms should I get?
One per child.
Each charm takes its own birthstone, so a necklace with three charms carries three months.
Can I add charms later?
Not to an existing necklace. Each one is made to order with its charms fixed. If the family grows, a second necklace is the usual route, and plenty of people wear both.
What can I engrave?
Up to 10 characters per charm.
A short first name or initials works best. The engraving area is genuinely small, so long names come out cramped and hard to read. Many people leave it blank and let the birthstone do the work.
Which birthstone do I choose?
Their birth month. If the baby hasn't arrived yet, the due date month is the usual pick, and plenty of people choose the stone they simply like best. There's no wrong answer.
How long does it take to arrive, and what does shipping cost?
Made to order in 3-5 business days, then shipped from the USA.
US standard shipping is $5.99 and takes 2-5 days on top of that, so most orders land 5 to 10 business days after you order. Priority is $11.99 and 1-2 days.
Canada and international rates are shown at checkout.
Can I return it?
Yes, within 30 days, as long as it's unworn and in its box.
Engraved pieces are made specifically for you, so those can only be returned if something's wrong with them: damage, a fault, or our mistake. We'll replace it.
Is this a gift, or for me?
Either. It's made to be worn every day, and the message card means it arrives ready to give.
If you're buying it for yourself, nothing about it says otherwise.
